A white GA principal was fired for stating "look at who's leaving: all the black people" as they left a commencement ceremony early (at the error of the principal). She SHOULD be terminated. She targeted one demographic. Racism.
Saida Grundy should be terminated as well. Her comment ""why is white america so reluctant to identify white college males as a problem population?" targets one demographic. Racism.
Racism is not okay against black people. Racism is not okay against white people. RACISM IS NOT OKAY.

She is not part of the solution. She is part of the problem. Highly educated does not always equate to true intelligence. I wonder if her privilege of skin color ever gave her preference over someone more qualified? Diversity is awesome, but over-valued in today's society.

Had Saida Grundy been white, she would be out of a job, her house inundated with vandalizing "peaceful" protestors and future career prospects doomed. She is entitled to her opinion, but her "message" is not one that brings our nation towards mutual cultural appreciation. Certainly not worthy of an institutional educator. She is a vicious and dangerous whiner who forgets that she was likely helped and appreciated by people of all backgrounds and races along the way. A bitter wasting of her talents. Bitter, angry and without grace.

If a white teacher said this about black people, she would be fired! How can you employ such a hateful racist? She is "teaching" our kids. She is also VERY ignorant on the history yet she is a "teacher."

Racism is racism - white on black AND black on white. She should not be in a position to influence young people, and if these comments had been white on black she would already be gone !

Dr. Grundy's statements painted a broad brush painted across an entire segment only identified by their race and gender - two attributes which they were born with and cannot change. This is the type of rhetoric that drove the Nazis to act on their hatred of Jews, resulting in the Holocaust. Furthermore, isn't this type of language contrary to the spirit of Martin Luther King Jr's dream speech, which urges us to judge others by the content of our character rather than the color of their skin? When my white son goes to college and if he goes to Boston University, will he be immediately judged a "problem" because of the color of his skin, regardless of any actions he might take? If a white professor said this same thing about black college students, how would that be handled by Boston University or the public generally? This type of rhetoric only serves to inflame and obfuscate real issues. If there is a problem with college students in America, can we hear what those problems are specifically rather than painting a broad racial brush?

It's not ok to make racist comments and it shouldn't matter what race you are; if you make a racist comment then you should suffer the consequences. Let's promote diversity!
