Petition to Terminate Boston University's Racist professor Saida Grundy

Biggotry and racism have no place in higher education and will stifle free thinking, open debate, tollerance, real solutions and advancement, and true education. Zero place for her or her mindset. Paying, hard working students, the future of our country, deserve, no, must have better.

Why do I have a feeling they are going to keep this racist at Boston U?? It's only racist if WHITE people say this kind of stuff? What a world we live in.

She is a huge part of the problem in moving forward. Remove her!!!

This woman is a blatant rascist and she should not be allowed to spew her ven into the minds of youth infecting them with her views! She certainly is unfit to teach and what white male will ever be comfortable on her class? Fire he!!!

Free speech is not the issue here. BU has accomplished incredible milestones over the last few years -- enhancing its reputation and raising significant money. The Grundy incident is costing BU $ millions and harming its reputation ... which will continue if she not terminated. This should be a "no-brainer" for the BU Board of Trustees and Administration. Quoting Joshua Cohen, Anti-Defamation League New Jersey Regional Director, “Schools must provide safe environments free of racism, prejudice and bigotry, which facilitate learning and understanding among students from diverse backgrounds." Inconvenient truths? Yes, there is a problem with college age males-but of all races (hazing, denigrating/abusive behavior towards women, lack of self control, ritualized dangerous behaviors). But also women as well (binge drinking/drugging till unable to defend or care for themselves, dangerous sexual encounters that leave them vulnerable, rampant peer pressure/bullying of other women, lack of self respect/control). However, when one presents the statistics regarding crimes, violence, and dependency of a certain minority it is either excused by societies injustices toward them or discounted completely by cries of racism even though it is also truth. No matter what has happened to you or your family or your people or what ever situation you and your peers find yourself in, violence and crime are ALWAYS choices made by the individual. In her haste to make a name for herself as a progressive thinker looking for justice, she has portrayed herself as a small minded racist. Not the caliber of educator this fine school needs.

Racism is racism. Can't have it both ways.

Disgusting, broad brush, backlash would be epic if white professor tweeted same opinion about any ethnic group. This type of view point gets society nowhere and has no place in academa.

Cannot tolerate racism. The MLK tweet regarding not buying white-owned products is why I'm signing this. Had this been regarding blacks she would have already been fired.

If a white female professor had made similar comments about black men--she would have been fired. We are horrified by her racist comments. She should not be in a position as an educator with these racist views. Fire her !!

Terrible

After other people of different racial groups have been fired from their jobs for much less, Saida Grundy, gets a slap on the wrist. If you even want to call it that. She has no problem getting paid by those White male's parents. Universities teach to be subjective and express your thoughts in a way that does not make you look like an idiot. Apparently Boston University does not place great emphasis on such things. This lady does not deserve preferential treatment simply because she's black. Clearly, that must be why she still has a job.

Racists shouldn't be allowed to teach their views onto the youth. Please find a new profession in which you aren't a danger to society.
