Is this really the best place? I think not, remember safeguarding is for everyone and the children have to be a priority.

I think it would be unsafe to be so near a children’s play area.

Have every sympathy for these people but a bad decision putting them so close to the play area.

I don't think this is the most suitable place to give the homeless shelter as it is next to a park where children come throughout the day and this is not something they should have to experience at such a young age.

Not an appropriate place! A children’s park that is full of drunks and drug addicts fighting?? Make u feel intimidated please move it

This service is bringing additional unwanted social problems such as substance abuse and use of weapons into an area which is largely for the use of children and families. How can this be acceptable?

Not appropriate in park grounds I am a local resident and strongly object to this.

I think there are other empty buildings which are bigger and more suitable, has the fact that it is the only play ground within the grounds for the area for the children and if it was to proceed this would have to be moved because it might not be the people who attend this place but some people might take advantage just to make trouble.

Fully support the scheme but not the right place next to a children's play park. Surely the council have other properties where this could be set up??

It really does need to be moved considering it's coming into summer and with a lot more people using the park it's really not a suitable place for this service

I am sure there must be far more suitable buildings and areas for the BEN scheme in Tameside, than in the grounds of a public park !

Not suitable to have this facility adjacent to a childrens play area

Badly planned short term solution with possible long term consequences. Neefs an immediate rethink.

It shouldn't have even been brought to a residential area where children play. . . Typical council who don't care about anyone. . .

Complete wrong location. Becoming increasingly worried about activity being witnessed by my children around the site.

I have heard today that a needle was found in the sand area where young children play. Apparently, there has also been defecating and urinating in the park. Whatever security, clean up service etc. you are providing is not working. The siting of this scheme is completely inappropriate and an alternative needs to be found asap. If a child receives a needle stick injury, Tameside Council will be responsible.
