Need to go NOW.
It’s all about drugs, stop the drugs you have more chance of success. Stop the begging and you stop the money to buy the drugs.

Persons using the scheme are totally abusing the facility and causing problems throughout the area
Mothers with children cannot now use the play area after needles found in sandpit

I am all for helping if people want to be helped but you have to think about where these shelters are being placed. Certainly not next to a children’s playground or in the middle of a housing estate where people feel intimidated. It’s bad enough walking through town. This problem needs to be sorted out properly not just by putting a sticky plaster over the issue hoping it will go away.

To put the homeless facility adjacent to a children's playground is the height of irresponsibility. The promises made at the start - until March, just until it gets warmer 9pm until 9am. Now 24/7. Lies to the neighbourhood. Very very angry.

Appreciate people need a place to be but this is absolutely the wrong location.

I support the programme but it needs to be in a different location. My children cannot play in the park and are afraid of the men we are now seeing in the area.

Much to close to the children's play ground. People now being attracted to the area and sleeping rough on occasion near the canal banks. Which bright spark thought that this building, in this area, was suitable?

I agree with the bed for a night and somewhere clean and dry for the homeless but it needs better security and a better place nxt to a kids park is just asking for trouble

Only found about this today, but wondered why the other Saturday a man was getting dressed behind a shopping trolley on the main road. Don't wish to be a NIMBY but as everyone agrees - why choose a building located right next to a children's play area in a public park? Who ratified this decision? And what was their rationale? Everyone knows that unfortunately, homelessness brings other social problems with it too. Drug and alcohol misuse the two obvious ones. Completely inappropriate choice of venue.

It should be moved to another location, not in a children's park.

I’m all for giving homeless a bed for the night but I feel that ryecroft isn’t a suitable facility as it’s on a children’s park in a residential area.

This is the wrong environment & area for the project. Safety of children and families has been compromised on such lovely well used grounds. I will not be taking my children to the park with the risk of drug equipment being found there .

Support the cause not the location. Far too close to a beautiful park popular with local children so totally inappropriate choice. Whose idea for here and who gave the go-ahead? Surely there are more appropriate empty buildings in A.U.L town centre and not in this residential area.

Wrong location in a children’s park.
