Petition to Sutherland Shire Council to review the current laws with respect to recreational beach access for dogs and horses in Kurnell.

There are too many rules and restrictions, our dogs are part of our family. Don’t stop us from enjoying the beach with them.

It’s an absolute disgrace that we can not share our beautiful beach with our beloved pets as they are our family. From our community to our community of pet lovers!

I’m sick of the council ruining our Shire with all these ridiculous decisions

As not all dogs can be trusted, nor so their owners who claim their dogs aren’t aggressive, the leash free area doesn’t suit my small dogs as it’s too worrying to use. I believe dogs on leads should be a allowed on the whole beach, even if at restricted times.

Animals are a part of life on Earth. They should be respected and given the same courteous understanding. Laws are restricting animals more and more and there are limited places and time-frames as it is. Give horses and animals in general a fair go.

Stop changing the Shire.

Ridiculous new law.. All of a sudden after so many years someone is complaining or wanting to change the laws. I lived out Kurnell for 30 yrs, was never a problem.

Please allow people to exercise their animals here like they always have. How ridiculous for the council to fine people for walking their dogs!

We need more not less. Look at other Councils & be more pet friendly.

Residents need areas to freely exercise dogs and horses. Do not take Kurnell / Solver Beach area from these residents and their pets.

Get a grip SSC.. there is no harm in it, only good can come from people & their animals enjoying the Kurnell beaches, & greenhills for that matter. Find a real problem to solve, like all the speeding cars in our congested residential streets.

It should remain a pet friendly place and it’s always been that way. Push the council out of the shire and keep the animals where they belong and need a place to swim and play safely
