Our city is already over burdened with not enough infrastructure and public services to accommodate the masses of people that moved to the west side. Especially northwest crossing area that doesn't even have a super market or let alone gas station. The roads are clogged all day long. It needs to be on the high way close for commuters from other bedroom communities to get there quickly.

This location makes no sense for all the reasons mentioned in editorial letters.......no room for expansion, overcrowding an already impacted area, etc.

Wrong location. Let's just give Juniper Ridge to OSU and let them develop it.

We cannot have OSU take over the West Side Bend! There is not enough room for that large of a project. I believe we need to have more meetings before this is decided. Let the locals have their concerns heard. So many other areas can be considered. Thank you.

I fully support an OSU campus in Bend, but not at the chosen location.

This is designed to be a boutique college. Families vacationing will find the idea of their child attending here attractive in the same way they find the pubs and shopping attractive. It will likely rapidly become cost prohibitive for locals to attend. Plans to address housing for the student population came into focus once plans for the proposed apartments adjacent to Pilot Butte were revealed. 15th and Wilson and Reed will become the single rider vehicle route. No one believes the "hope" expressed by OSU westside proponents that students will try any other option than the car their parents buy for them once they move here from the monied enclaves in So. Cal, PDX and Seattle.

Since OSU has a fiduciary responsibility to use federal (public) funds appropriately, I think the appropriate federal agencies should be involved to investigate the University's actions.

This site does not make any sense for future growth! New Campus needs to be closer to the highway.

Have lived here for over 25 years and truly believe if the westside campus goes in, it may force us out.

Common sense would say this campus should be where there is more room for growth. There seems to be a lot of apartment type housing on the NE side of Bend and less expensive properties. Public transportation options can easily accomodate this area also as traffic is less dense.

Like the idea of OSU-Cascade in Bend - hate the location as currently identified for a number of reasons!

With potentially 5,000 students at OSU, plus 1000-2000 new homeowners residing in homes already approved for construction on the West Side, how are roads that are already overcrowded going to handle this incredible incremental traffic volume? Surely there must have been a "traffic study" undertaken before the OSU campus was inflicted on the West Side, and why has this not been provided to those of us who live in this area of Bend? If no study was completed, the simple question is: how could anyone approve this volume of additional vehicles without an indepth analysis?????

The Westside site is too congested as it is, especially anywhere along Reed Mkt. Rd and the roundabout when Cascade Middle School is operating. I believe a site that can be developed to serve the Redmond, Prineville and Bend area in a more equal location would be best. Who wants to drive through all the Bend traffic to go to college? Many students will commute and they won't all be riding bicycles! I'm very disappointed that the Westside campus is already in construction without a vote of the citizens.

The current westside location is NOT a good long term solution (for the university or for Bend). This is exactly the type of development for Juniper Ridge.

I owned a business on the Westside for 15years. The roundabouts that were installed to lift the building moratorium are at capacity already. Where is all this additional traffic going to go?

KNOWING THAT OSU'S GOAL IS TO OBTAIN 50 ACRES AND GROW THE UNIVERSITY SITE SHOWS A REAL LACK OF CONCERN AND TRANSPARENCY BY THE CITY AND OSU FOR ISSUES THAT HAVE BEEN RAISED BY THE COMMUNITY. THE CAMPUS NEEDS TO BE PLACED WHERE THERE IS DIRECT ACCESS TO MAJOR TRANSPORTATION HUBS IN THE REGION I.E., HGWY 97, AIRPORT, PACKAGE & TRUCKING DELIVERY SERVICES.

The Bulletin editorialized many years ago about how the City must develop Juniper Ridge so that Bend could have a 4 year university and that the Juniper Ridge property would afford that opportunity. What the hell happened?

The West side of Bend is already so busy with traffic. I hate going over that way and Juniper Ridge would be a better place to put the Campus.

No reasonable expansion possibilities. No low cost housing in the area for students. Traffic and parking is already a problem. OSU should have more land than COCC not less. Redmond in growing faster than Bend for working class people. Access from Redmond should be a consideration.
