Putting the school on the westside is the worst idea ever. This decision makes me wonder whose pockets got lined to overlook the obvious negatives and virtually no positives to the proposed plan.

The city cannot contain the amount of people that are already on the west side. The location across from Cascade Brewery is too small and will cause more traffic which the city infrastructure cannot accommodate. I am appalled trees have already been cut down and this site has not been approved! Selling our city to the highest bidder does not make a good future for my town or my children. Stop the building!

An unbelievably poor choice of sites. Someone made some big money off of this campus, and Bend students/residents will pay for it in the future. I'm all for a campus, if done wisely and this is not the wise choice of locations. "Good old boy network" live & well and at work in Bend!

I am very much opposed to the location in which the OSU Elitist want to place their campus. This is our town and we should have a large vote on where this campus should be built where it will benefit everyone not just a few.

Congestion abounds already. Residential vacancy already non-existent. Easily accessible for the entire central Oregon community not even considered. Discussion prior to cramming their agenda not considered. A university at the cost of an entire community is a cost we should not stand for.

Central Oregon would benefit greatly from a University! It should first and foremost be for all of Central Oregon and be centrally located not tucked away in the isolated difficult to access westside of BEND.

Love a university in the Central Oregon area; just not in a neighborhood that is difficult to access from surrounding communities, limited housing, terrible traffic congestion already, and no room to expand.

The is inadequate space on the west side location. They should seriously reconsider Juniper Ridge, siting the campus on the north side of Bend. There is space there, even though there will probably be traffic issues to contend with even at this location. However, it should be much easier dealing with that as opposed to a west side location. Also, this will make the campus more convenient for residents of Redmond, Prineville, Madras, etc. This decision with impact Central Oregon for many years to come.

The 10 acre site is too small and the choice of adjoining 46 acre pumice mine is beyond ridiculous. OSU is offering up a carrot, not a legitimate campus.

How about buying the old Korpine mill site? For those who don't know where that is it is south and west of Crux Brewing.

Would love to have the new campus as soon as possible, just in a location that better serves the city and the university. Not the West Side!

I am not against a University. Build it in the correct place = Juniper Ridge.

The university belongs in JUNIPER RIDGE. The city sold us on this in 2004.

This is a really bad idea. Opening Pandora's Box to the westside.

All for a 4 year college in Bend, but not at that location. It's poor planning for the future.

In a Bend Bulletin article titled, "OSU-Cascades Site Selection," March 17, 2014. It is reported that OSU approached the Bend Bulletin who had filed Chapter 11 about buying their land. It is unclear if that includes the building. It is speculated that those talks have resumed.

A university of this size should NOT be placed within a 'city'; but many miles "out-of-town" to enable it to grow closer over the years.
