I am against thirst side location.
This is becoming OSU Bend and not OSU Central Oregon.
It's time for a.new site with better access and potential to include better housing and parking.

For the college but not the location. There are several other much better locations that would be better serve the college and community.

This is not a regional university, but an exclusive little school in Bend that will bring problems the City and OSU will be unable to resolve. If only the City Counsil had the courage to say wrong location and see through the deliberate misrepresentations.

The location makes no sense at all. The west side of Bend is the hardest part of town to access as it is. I'm just glad I don't live over there anymore. What a mess...

It is not right to ignore the long term impacts of a campus on this site area. Or to make delusional assumptions (e.g. re transportation).

The chosen site is too limited. Very happy to welcome Oregon State otherwise.

Poor site selection. Will lead to a traffic nightmare for all. OSU must file a master plan!

Very bad and to small location to serve all of Central Oregon.

OSU-C's credibility is completely shot with me at this point. It is unnecessary to hire an expensive PR firm to put a spin on everything about this west side site if the west side site is, truly, the right site. Anybody can see the obvious shortcomings of this particular site - they've been revealed over and over again. OSU-C has come to Central Oregon with a mission to give us what they think is best for us - as though we are not intelligent enough or evolved enough or whatever enough to decide those things for ourselves. The arrogance of Ed Ray and Becky Johnson is incredible. They obviously don't care about what is best for Central Oregon or Bend. Sure, they'll point to a survey of 300 Bend residents but they won't point out that the way the questions were worded was misleading and intended to generate the results they wanted. That survey did not reflect the true general consensus of Central Oregon. OSU in Corvallis is not a good neighbor to those who live in close proximity to the main 420 acre campus. Who in their right mind wants to give OSU-C an opportunity to do the same thing to neighbors of its 10 acre campus here in Bend? Put the campus in a location where it can grow and thrive so we don't look back in 20 years and shake our heads because we let some self-interests with a lot of clout sell us a pig in a poke.

If this west side location was truly the right site for a branch campus of a major four-year university, OSU-C would not have felt the need to hire an expensive PR firm to spin the facts in an attempt to make it appear to be the right site.

Greed has no place in Bend. West side location is wrong for so many reasons.

Please help keep Bend livable by creating this important campus out of the west side corridor. There is already so much stress & traffic in this area. Students will have to live on the east side which will clog the east-west arterials even more.

Anyone that is from Bend realizes how ridiculous the location is for a 4 year university!

A university in Bend is an awesome idea in a different location. I simply do not understand how this project is full-steam ahead without support from local residents. OSU-Cascades could have tremendous support from the community if they would pull off the blinders, pause, and truly consider the long-term needs of both the university and the Westside of Bend. Shame on you, OSU-Cascades and everyone else who is putting personal gain ahead of the good of the community. It will not serve you or the community well in the long run.

I live in Powell Butte so my objection is not as a NIMBY. But am a former teacher and counselor. I think the West Side location is ridiculous and short-sighted. My high school was 54 acres and it was not big enough for 2000 students and staff. There was never enough parking. I wonder who is making the money by selling the West Side acres to OSU? I am insulted that OSU has not thought about all of the tax payers and future needs of students when picking this spot. The clean up of this site could be very expensive and that money will make less money available for students. I think we should "follow the gold" to see who benefits with this crazy plan and it is certainly not the tax payers of Oregon or its students.
