We need to have some evidence that we are even being heard.

Location at contemplated site is against the public good but does serve to enrich the owners of property involved and adjoining. It's all about the money.

Cmon people. With the exception of very few, the talk around town is all the same: "What an awful place for a campus?" The westside location will be great for a few people and horrible for anyone who wants in and out of west bend. We have an opportunity to create a new vibrant center in bend that will take pressure off of the already congested west side.

The west side is a terrible site for the new campus and will directly impact my family every day. There is no need to rush such a major project that should be beneficial for all residents of Central Oregon.

As everyone else has already stated, the westside of Bend is not the place for a University. There is plenty of land on the east and north sides of town that will allow for the university to grow, for its' students to have affordable housing, and enough room for parking.

You can build the school, just NOT on the west side! You will RUIN this awesome city, when it could continue to grow beautifully if the school were placed in the north/east.

I just moved back to Bend after being away for 36 years...have any of you people ever lived where there is traffic...????...this location will be devastating for traffic....I lived on the Westside in the 70's and I live there now...traffic is bad already....who are these people doing the planning for my beautiful city of Bend...they must not be people born and raised here in Bend...I am thinking they must be transplants from other places...which is ok...but you must leave your SoCal and other values back where you came from...THIS IS BEND OREGON..please stop trying to make this Southern California or elsewhere....if you keep going at this rate...you will connect Bend to Redmond to Terrebone to Madras to Prineville then out to La Pine...just STOP THE DEVELOPING MADNESS...we are not LA or Orange County....please dont make this an Asphalt Jungle like those places...if you must build an OSU-Cascades....there are many other more appropriate areas....please choose somewhere that can handle the amount of traffic and people this monster will bring....STOP CHANGING BEND....YOU ARE RUINING OUR PARADISE!!!

The location that has been chosen is insane! The traffic on century/14th st. is already a problem with no solution in sight. Adding a college there will only make it so much worse. Whoever thought of that location is a total idiot who obviously isn't from around here.

I fully support a strong OSU-Cascades presence in Bend. However, the west side site is unsuitable. It's expensive, disruptive and short-sighted, unless, of course OSU doesn't really care about community relations, that students will struggle to find a place to live and that the campus' growth will be hamstrung and limited to being a high-end boutique OSU extension for students who want to pursue inexpensive majors such as business and liberal arts.

What they have done already has altered the ambiance of the area. It is all wrong - traffic is already too high on the three roads that would lead to the college, we do not need more cars on the roads, despite some people who are from lala land students are not going to walk downtown which is over 3.5, or COCC, plus there is nowhere for them to live.

It is unbelievably shortsighted and just plain stupid to build your campus on Bend's West Side. Just crazy dumb. It will not be the best campus possible, and shouldn't that be your goal? I would hope so. Whit bazemore

I believe in the University and want to see it built in Central Oregon but building it on the current location will strangle the whole west side of Bend.

I am very excited for OSU to be a part of our Bend! I feel the Westside location is a very poor choice for the future growth of what Bend will become. The west side is VERY highly congested and currently faces housing and traffic issues already!

Wonderful idea but very poor site. Our official must become involved while there is still time to persuade OSU to consider alternate sites.

There are several superior building sites available within the greater Bend community allowing the University to achieve it's short and long term goals and support the University with superior short and long term infrastructure. We need to seek a win-win outcome.

I am fully supportive of a 4 year campus for OSU. The proposed site is not conducive for the great campus that Bend deserves. It is much too small and in a inappropriate area as most of the people in Bend (other than those involved in the project) have pointed out numerous times. If the folks from the college that are backing this had to invest their money instead of mine, they might be wiser in their decisions.

Please reconsider the location as it stands. We are currently facing serious congestion on the west side of Bend. With the construction of a campus things will become considerably worse in a short period of time. Expanding into a Superfund sight as the secondary plan makes no sense.

Stop the madness. This is a bad idea! What were you thinking people?

This site does not provide for overcrowded conditions, and does not take into consideration the traffic problems.
