I feel that the site of the OSU-Cascades' campus is very short sighted. There isn't any available housing, the traffic is already difficult and will get much worse. Don't you think that a campus on the East side would be a smarter choice? Plenty of room to expand not only the campus itself but also housing and support businesses. There isn't room for more restaurants etc. on the West side. The East side isn't as sexy but it would create more jobs. Hey! More jobs for the student body. What an idea.

I never thought this was a good site! The area north or north east of Bend was talked about early in the process and I feel that would be a much better site in regards to all the impact the increased population of the campus will create. Please consider stoping the development on the present site!

Yes, we need a 4 year university in Bend but it should serve all of Central Oregon. This site will be difficult for students from Prineville, Madras, Sisters, Redmond and LaPine to get to. Let's not market this location for the "out of staters" to the detriment of local students and taxpayers.

Stop the Insanity!! Any OSU site should be for all residents of Central Oregon...the west side of Bend is the wrong location with the wrong Leadership leading this scam. Everyday driving on the west side of Bend now is a disaster....too many residents with packed roadways. Near misses with bicyclists/joggers daily. No affordable housing for students - this is nothing but a political move (supported by outside developers/contractors/architects) who could care less about the taxpayers being saddled with this nightmare.

I think parking needs to be significantly expanded. Parking at COCC is a nightmare and they have way more spaces than OSU is planning.

This is the wrong location for the OSU campus in Bend OR. Too much vehicle congestion already exists in this area. The plans do not include enough parking for students and staff. Please stop and relocate the project to a more suitable property.

A four year university in a location with lifted grow potential on the west side of our beautiful city is not desireable. It would change the face of Bend as we have known it. The charm of our town would be lost forever. Aside from the enormous traffic problems with a west side campus I question where the students, facility and workers would find affordable housing. Too many potential problems have been gone unaddressed to the public/residents in the planning stages of this university. Who wins in this situation? Not the residents of Bend.

Quit the boutique design ideals of our community. Place this institution where it can grow over the years. It should anchor a new distict, not wedge itself into an existing mature area of town.
Resident since 1998. East side homeowner.

I think it should be much more centrally located and closer to Redmond, Prineville and Madras.

Glad to have an OSU campus in Bend
But the west side is too built up already.
And Mt Washington is already very.

Concerned about the danger to cyclists on the westside and traffic congestion. Being stuck in traffic has a very negative impact on the quality of my life.

The campus should be on the East side of Bend, close to 97 where there is more room for expansion.
