Please reconsider the placement of the college. I don't even live in that part of town and realize how awful an idea that is.

The infrastructure on the west side of town is a problem already, we can't add more congestion to that area on top of several other schools and residential areas located nearby. I'm in support of a 4 year school just not there.

All you have to do is follow the money. The sellers of the land are the biggest promoters of this flawed site. They bought the land in the prior R.E. boom and now what nothing more than to recover their costs plus a big profit.

Having a 4-year OSU campus in Central Oregon is awesome. It just needs to be in a different location.

This is a short sighted travesty, being rammed through. It is reminance of the health care bill

Pine Ridge would be the better site. It has all the potential for growth and surrounding the university with the essentials and from a blank canvas. 10 acres will disappear and then what?

The campus should be built at Juniper Ridge where room for parking and new apartments for students to live in could be built. The Juniper site offers close access to the Bend Parkway and shopping. Also bus routes could easily be extended. Also plenty of room for future growth. I am all for a new OSU campus but the Westside location makes no sense and is just catering to developers that will profit from that location.

I have never seen where people with a agenda have ignored the voice of the community so blatantly. Its time to find another site.

It would be tragic to WASTE taxpayer money for a site and location to benefit a few local RE folks that will limit any chance for an exceptional educational facility accessible and viable for ALL central Oregonians, not just skiers and beer drinkers.

move the location to a site where there is less congestion.
With 1200 homes being built on Mt. Washington and a four year college it will be crazy.
Please move the college to a different site.

I totally support a four year college in Bend, just not at the chosen location. Why not let the residents of Bend vote on this...give several options for other locations, after all we are the people who will be most affected by the college.

The west side is not practical due to traffic/parking issues as well as cost of cleaning up pumice mine plus limited space for future expansion.

A recent letter in the Bulletin said we the people should leave decisions like the siting of the new college "to the experts." I'm sure the same person believes the "experts" in Washington D.C. are doing a great job. Ten acres is simply not big enough to build a college for CENTRAL OREGON, not just Bend. The digging should stop until the majority of people have been heard.

This location is wrong for the school and for the city of Bend.
