Take a drive any weekday afternoon down Colorado heading west to Century Drive. Bumper to bumper traffic barely moving. This is BEFORE this crazy location for the Campus! Seriously????

It astounds me that the Westside location would be considered. Where are these students/faculty going to live?

Shame on you the City of Bend, City Council, City Commissioners, and the Board of Directors of OSU/Cascades for supporting this campus on the Westside of Bend. This is an asinine decision with disastrous consequences for the west side of Bend There are better location, like Juniper Ridge, and you know it! I am for the four year university but not in its current location.

Having attended two community colleges that turned into four year colleges I can attest that the current site will not accommodate a four year college. Look at all the students that drive to Mountain View or Summit High School in Bend. Do you really think the current plan has enough space for parking and expansion. Common sense says no, but who says our elected leaders have any common sense.

I find it hard to believe intelligent people would try to ram this clearly unsuitable site through in spite of all the evidence that it is such a poor choice.

For the school against the location. Born and raised. Don't have to be a professional to know that this is a bad location. Driven by greed.

Please look at the east side to lessen the congestion on the west

Choice of the westside location appears to be driven by the local entertainment and other businesses lobbying for that area, without consideration for the beauty and harmony of Bend City as a whole and the west side residents in particular. The location is inadequate space for a 4 year university. A site closer to Redmond would be ideal. I am a university professor who has also taught at COCC in Bend. That campus has woefully inadequate parking. 90% of my COCC students lived in Redmond, Madras, Prineville, etc. We should be serving the future students and their need for affordable housing and easy access to the campus, rather than the ambitions of OSU to center the campus in a 'resort town'. University should be centered on EDUCATION not recreation.

There are far superior locations for this campus. Even with the 40+ acre adjacent property....it is not big enough to accommodate projected future growth!!

There are better places to put the college. Traffic will be a nightmare! Disruption to the community will be significant.

The westside is already so busy, putting another school on the westside would make transportion in the area miserable!

Having OSU on the Westside will cause gridlock, air pollution and waste many students time. Please locate near the intersection of hwy 20 and 97.

No thanks. Need a location that works.

Concerned about parking which will jam the surrounding streets. Not enough parking planned at the site. Students will drive and not take public transportation

For the university, not the location

bad idea for our beautiful town. I am so disappointed in the decisions being made for Bend. this is only one of them, but it's a big one.
