Building on a grossly undersized, unstable pumice pit, with grossly inadequate parking, in an already transportation challenged area is so incredibly ludicrous one can only think a totally politically corrupt endeavor.

A university in Bend...Great idea. West side location. Such a BAD idea.

I want the university in town but the location is terrible. Put it on the east side and increase the value of everyone's property. The location is not good for traffic and limited affordable housing options for college students on a limited budget!

You guys need to do some sort of mass mailing or door to door survey. There are so many opposed to this but do not get in the internet for news and voting polls.

Surely the site chosen can be improved for the sake of students from around Central Oregon.

Absolutely the wrong location. Poor access for the majority of Central Oregon plus terrible implications in terms of traffic, parking and community livability. Don't shoe-horn this in to our community. Build it closer to Hiway 97 and let a community evolve around it.

Against the idea of a four year university here. Don't want Bend to become like Corvallis and Eugene.

Location of this site is a total disregard for the livability of Bend.

This is not the appropriate site to locate a 4 year university! Just look at the traffic, housing, and most of all the instability of the geologic framework of the land at this location! I am so tired of our town being sold out to the highest bidder. Locate OSU on the Eastside in the location that was planned for a 4 year university!

Terrible location and planning. Eventually will put a facility with 5000 students and a similar number of faculty/staff in one of the highest traffic areas in town. No plans for sufficient on-campus housing (not to mention parking), and rentals are already in short supply. OSU Cascades almost made sense at Juniper Ridge, where there is sufficient room for a small academic community with local housing, connection to town via shuttle buses, pizza joints, etc. It makes absolutely no sense at the proposed site.

I am happy to have my kids attending OSU-C, but hate the location for the new site. Hard for us to get to, and prefer if it were somewhere off Hwy. 97, for easy access, and expansion.

Love the 4 year university being here in Central, Oregon...but hate the location choice and the cost of expansion. What the heck...it's so crowded already. Ne location between bend and Redmond makes the Most sense.
