I am in support of a small 4 year university. The west side location is a bad choice for the quality of life in Bend, OR.

I hope to live in bend someday and if they place a university there it ruins the city. It will become way too over populated

traffic problems now - no room for sports fields - poor access for students who do not live on campus

Very pro OSU in Bend just against the location. We are sacrificing too much of our special place when there is a perfectly good alternative that would provide enough space to enable the original vision of a college anchor to housing and new businesses. All we have now is the anchor.

The idea of building a university on a hazardous waste site is absurd, and the money it would take to shore it up would translate into endless taxation! For the future health of Prospective students and our taxpayer pocketbooks, no thank you.

Fully support a University in Central Oregon. Completely oppose the OSU location! Extremely alarmed at how the entire process has unfolded! Very disturbing on so many levels!

There are better locations which will help boost the economy on the east or north sides of town. This is a location that cannot fit all of the traffic and people. I was in favor of a university but after this fiasco, would like to scrap the whole idea for a few years and have a new group of leaders take this on.

Great concept, totally wrong site. Westside infrastructure cannot handle the traffic. Plus access and housing for all Central Oregon students will be far better in the NE Bend area that was previously considered. OSU: please don't dig in your heels on this issue!!!

Am certainly in favor of a four year institution of higher academic learning in central Oregon, but definitely, not this location. As central Oregon grows, it seems a much more logical area would be the originally considered NE area of Bend.

OSU Cascades campus promises to add significant complexity and diversity to the Central Oregon culture. But, let's be more forward-thinking in where it is to be located! The campus will need room to grow & should be in an area that will allow for such growth over a period of many years. Developing a west side campus as currently planned will only lead to a fragmented campus in the long run.
