I have had the opportunity to visit the Volcani Center in 1974. For us, at INRA, it was a reference in high-level research in agriculture, and it is still now

I have been admiring the work done at the Volcani for decades, where outstanding researchers of international reputation. The reallocation of the Institute will have very negative implications to one of the leading Institutes in the world. I think it will be a great mistake to reallocate the Institute in a marginal area where it will be unable to maintain his excellent reputation.

It is essential that the Volcani Center maintain a vigorous and well-supported research effort to prevent serious threats to food biosecurity

Since the beginning of my scientific career almost 40 years ago, research work and publication of colleagues of the Volcani Center have been highlights. The focus an basic reseach for practical application help to advance the industry. The work on water relation and irrigation is unbeaten in the world. Agriculture does not need impact factors of publications, but research with an impact on the needs of the industry.

The current location of the Volcani Center enjoys a synergistic relationship with Hebrew University's Faculty of Agriculture, the Weizmann Institute, Bar Ilan and Tel Aviv Universities. This makes it a destination for academic research and collaboration. It is someplace I'd like to go some day! Please listen to the researchers and do not relocate the Volcani Center.

Volcani Center's location - and its proximity to Hebrew University's Faculty of Agriculture, the Weizmann Institute, and Bar Ilan and Tel Aviv Universities - is critical for its continued success.

I have visited the the Volcani Institute and interacted with its scientists for more than 30 years. The Volcani has a world-wide reputation in agricultural research and education, particularly in the area of desert agriculture for which its scientists and faculty at Hebrew University's College of Agriculture are considered to be world leaders. Moving the Volcani to Northern Galilee with destroy the collaborative relationship with Hebrew University, especially with respect to student training. I urge you to reconsider the proposed move. its affliation and interaction with the College of Agriculture of Hebrew University Moving the Volcani Inarti

I believe that, current location of volcani is geographically well suitable for international researchers in terms of reachability to airport as well as for residential facilities. Please don’t relocate volcani.

and I fully support your petition because I think that agricultural science can better flourish only through day-by-day interactions with scientists working also in basic research, as it is now for Volcani Center in its present location

Relocating the Volcani center to a remote location would set back agricultural research in Israel for decades.

Moving Volcani Center to remote location of the country will affect the easy accessibility to the international trainees, farmers, students and scientists. To maintain the quality research, please avoid relocation.

I visited the Volcani years ago and I was impressed for the great activity, the local and international relationships and the vicinity to growers on one side and to the airport for foreign visitors. Should be a great pity to have the Center somewhere far away.

I have visited Volcani Center in 2012 and I have experienced how great is the importance of its research for Israeli agriculture. Any weakening of this institution will bring major detriment to the country.
