Petition to Save Volcani Center

Volcani Centre where lots of people from all over the World had come and still coming for good skills and Knowledge to improve themselves and to educate others as well. The nearness of the centre to the beneficiaries is very important which I learnt during my few weeks stay in Israel. I am begging those in Authority not to close the centre. Thank you.

It was very obvious that this is very important place for research and development in agriculture of Israel and also very beneficiary institution for worldwide research. I highly support this petition and hope for the best at the end. Warm greetings to all wonderful people at Volcani Center!

The current location is well-suited for research and participation of its associated mean. Please save the center at this location.

Dear Authority for Volcani ARO in Israel. It was my privileged to benefit from MASHAV's 2009 Post Harvest Practice Research and Development Short Course in Israel at Tel Aviv. My exposure and experience from Israel has been my advocacy ancorh for development generally, and particularly for transformation, improvement or change of post harvest practice in Nigeria. Petition suggests that cooperation with Nigerian Researchers would be adversely affected and we do not wish for this. Please, reconsider your plan on movement of Volcani ARO from Tel Aviv for the POSITIVE IMPACT ON RESEARCHERS, FOR THE BENEFIT OF MANKIND WORLDWIDE. Please consider the global cooperation benfits or achievement from Volcani for Israeli stakeholders of ARO. Peace to Israel, Reconciliation, Friendship and Peace to the world. Amen.

I believe that the present location is perfect to serve the farmers of Israel and your worldwide scholars. hopefully this will be realized by your government. my warmest regards to all.

Volcani is the heart and soul of Israeli agricultural research. It would be a criminal act to move it from the central location. It deserves more funding and strong support from the government of Israel.

Dear Volcani people, I wish you to achieve your goal and to become stronger after this battle. I hope Israely goverment will realize that Volcani in existing place is very important for strong agriculture of your country. Greeting from Serbia!

I benefited immensely from the training offered at the Agricultural Research Organization, Volcani Centre, Israel. The training has enabled me to teach effectively and do qualitative research. Please do not close down the center.

It would be a terrible shame to close this institute as the research conducted here provides vital agricultural information to help sustain the ever growing world population and challenges we face as humans due to climate change. The Volcani institute plays an essential role in helping to feed the world and save the planet.

I was beneficiary of the programe on post harvest of fresh fruits in the Volcani Center. It is a good place for research and are really important its results to improve agriculture practices and technologies.

I was beneficiary of the facilities at the Volcani center in 2009. I urge the government of Israel to let the center be as it is.

I BENEFITED FROM THE PROGRAMME ORGANISED BY THE CENTRE IN 2012 ON POST HARVEST PATHOLOGY OF FRESH FRUITS. PLEASE DONT CHANGE THE CENTRALIZATION OF THE VOLCANIC CENTRE, IT MAKES GOING TO FARMS MORE CONVENIENT.

I was fortunate to spend a month in the Volcani's facilities. It is a wonderful place for research and development of food for the future. It would be a real shame and a mistake promote relocation. The best place to research must be at sidelines, near the producers. Sincerely, Arturo Zaldivar

Volcani center shall continue at current place

It would be very regretful to jeopardize the ability of the Volcani Center to keep up its great record in contributing to agricultural research.

I TOOK PART IN A TRAINING IN VOLCANI CENTER AND I HAD A VERY GOOD IMPRESSION OF THE WORK THE RESEARCHERS DEVPOLING.

I had the opportunity to participate in an international course related to postharvest of fruits and vegetables. The Volcani Center is instrumental in the international reloationships Isreal has with many countries that benefit from the activities of this institution and the development of agriculture around the world.
