Petition to Save Volcani Center

I support the rejection of the proposed move of Volcano centre.

The present location of Volcani centre at Bet Dagan, Tel Aviv is very strategic and convenient to International Scholars like me. Relocating this centre to a remote location will severely hamper the international visitors. More so the experimental plots, infrastructure created are so valuable and might loose some of the important long term experiments that are in place at Bet Dagan. I truly enjoyed my stay at Tel Aviv during my brief stay at Israel, Let the other International scholars also enjoy the ambience of this wonderful city, Pride of Israel. Therefore, I strongly oppose any move to relocate the Volcani Centre Regards from India

I had been in Israel on Scholarship in 2013 to attend the International course of integrated pest management, its amazing institute and location is an easy assess to even foreigners, students, farmers, research scholar etc.,so relocating the same is going to disturbing and defficult to everyone including the staff working in the institute. its humble request from all of us connected with this esteem institute please give it a second thought

Let the Volcano Center remain in its beauty and status as one of the centers of excellence of agricultural research & education.

I would like to express my support to keep the Volcani Center in its original location. In academic year 1997/98 I was a postdoc at Tel-Aviv University and had an occassion to meet Volcani scientists of international reputation. I hope, Volcani staff could remain an important part of the broad scientific community around Tel-Aviv.

Dear I want to give my suport to save Volcani centre and keep it location in Bet Dagan - Tel Aviv Yafo. I was student in Volcani centre last year and I can tell everithing positive for programe, organisation, profesors and all staf. Also I saw how big influnce Volcani centre has for the agriculture development and how much is useful for agriculture producers. Producers all arond Israel come to Volcan C to solve some problems.... And one thingh more - Volcani Centre educated many forigner students... Before I didn t know much about your history abouth your state and your reason for some historical facts. But after my visit - belive me - Israel have one of the best ambasador in me who defence your side of medal. I live Israel an israeli people! But without Volcani centre you will lost good people who can visit and love your beautiful country and share your own experience from Israel and Volcani in your countries. Save Volcani Centre!!!!! Relocation of Institute from existing area not only disturb the education infrastructure but also effect the farmers of Israel, scientists and particularly researchers from International community which are benefited from outreach programs

The Agricultural Research Organization, Volcani Center has been a center of excellent for scientists all over the world. I was there for one month training in year 2014 on post harvest technology and handling of fresh produce.The center is strategically located and should not be relocated.

Volcani Center at Tel Aviv must not be relocated to some other place as the international participants have significant benefits arround

I truly support this petition. I had the great opportunity to participate in the IPM course 2014, interact with its researchers and learn a lot from their knowledge and experience. Volcani center is a referent institution for agricultural researches around the world, its work and mission should be recognized, conserved and supported.

Save volcani

The center is located in perfect location for attract foreign students and researcher. It is not near to city as well as not so far to reach easily .

Please do not relocate the Volcani Centre to the remote area where it will be rendered irrelevant. I believe the current location is just perfect. I was there in 2012 and I really appreciate the knowledge that I gained in the training. This has really made a lot of difference in my teaching and research activities. It also gave room to sustained interactions with Israeli scientists. The benefits of participating in the trainings have also been extended to some of my students as they are currently undergoing graduate studies in Jerusalem. The Volcani Centre has really been a source of mutual benefits and I want to plead that it be allowed to remain in its present location. Thank you.

I had been in Volcani Center in 2005 for a month. The place of this institute is very beneficial now. Please do not change the place and close it. We shared everything at this institute and still we have friendships. I will never forget time that I spent in Volcani C.. Regards Nurdan Gunes

As a beneficiary of Volcani Centre, I STRONGLY oppose its relocation. Kenya and many developing countries in Africa have benefited enormously from knowledge and skills acquired from Volani Centre. It is sad if such a magnificent and resourceful institution will be relocated from the centre of Israel. DO NOT RELOCATE VOLCANI CENTRE.

Latest, since the inauguration of the European Working Group Physiology of the WPSA 2003 at the Humboldt-University of Berlin, I have continuously and excellent relationships with researchers from the Volcani Center. Every two years we organized our international workshops on poultry physiology. The innovative and outstanding research, for instance in poultry physiology, incubation and other topics ensured a top ranking of the Volcani Center in the international agricultural research area, which results also of regional structures that have evolved over time. I wish very much that this excellent research center will continue to exist and will be a place for innovation and multiple exchange of knowledge in future.
