Volcani Center for me is a great institution that makes lots of research for the world, and they help other developing countries tranfering knowledge to their professionals.

The Volcani Center has been of immeasurable benefit to the international community. It has been a center of excellence in Agricultural Research and Education. I was privileged to participate in the R&D course on Post Harvest Technology of Fresh commodities in 2012. Moving this center to a remote location in Israel would grossly limit participation of the international community. Let the center remain in it's current strategic location.

volcani center is serving as a bridge to disseminating and acquiring latest technologies in the field of R & D from the presently situated place i.e. central Israel all over the world. it is serving israeli farmers in a better manner from volcani center having better access to whole of country geographically.

From my perception, I strongly dismiss the idea of relocation of Volcani Centre because Volcani Centre is the nodal research agency which attracts foreign research collaborators in the various disciplines of agriculture. I had opportunity twice to closely work with scientists of Institute of Soil, Water and Environ Sciences who are doing impactful research for benefit of all. Relocation of the centre to some remote area in the centre of Israel will not only result in loosing local scientific talent but also discourage foreign scientist's collaboration.

The reason for proposed relocation of Volcani is not science or agriculture-based. It is political to accommodate political moves of Minister Arieli. Relocation will delay discoveries essential to the well-being of Israeli agriculture and world reputation of Israel in agricultural advancement.

Really it is very bad decision to shift the volcano centre to other part. Really it will reduce the quality of the research. After establishment of any research Institute for the benefit of farmers and private industry. Even if you are planning for shifting its really there will be decline in over all GDP of the country.
