If you tare down everything from back In time we can't show our children they will be looking down in disbelief of what we tell them. The histrionic places is the places we take them to teach them that this is how things were and how things have changed.

(1947 Knight of the Golden Horseshoe; still care about history and, incidentally, born in 1933.)
Governor Spotswood would agree with historical preservation, I'm sure.
Once it's gone, Nancy Hanks will be more quickly forgotten, just like the magnificent old Parkersburg City Building, et al.---- When will the lack of appreciation of our heritage ever end? Let's remember, for the future generations. Needs to be PROMOTED/advertised, not forgotten.

This is a very important landmark in our state. We can not allow another one of our treasures to be destroyed or displaced.

I visited the cabin 3 years ago. It was difficult to find as you travel up the small road, but well worth the trip. Please preserve this wonderful treasure of history and keep it available for future generations.
