The reason people come to Valley Junction is because of what is is—charming, old, eclectic, rare, unique. Take that away and people will stop coming.

100% agree with this. The new building next to the Iowa Quilt Block is an eye sore and does not add to HVJ at all. Please remember the historic part of Valley Junction. If we wanted modern monstrosities, I would heady over to Jordan Creek or Ankeny.

Our family has loved to shop in Historic Valley Junction for years. We hope that can continue. Shelley at The Iowa Quilt Block is a gem. It’s always cheerful to go there.

Valley Junction is that kick back, calming, vintage area that you can visit that has different retail and restaurants . Great to get away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the city. Please don’t make this a memory.

Historic districts are designated as such for a reason. Refurbish the area with that history in mind.

Develop South of the railroad where there used to be homes and Johnnie's Vets club that area needs a tax base!

I completely agree with this petition. I was disgusted to see the new, modern development and the negative impact it already has had on a unique and beautiful part of our city and state.

I am very upset about all the modern buildings that are going up in the Junction I have lived here since l970 and that is what drew me to live here all the history and old buildings surely they want to save them not modernize them
