This is my children's favorite play place. They love being able to play on the playground, run in the grass, get an ice cream and walk on the boardwalk. It's a great place for entertainment in the summer, and is the only green area for our children to play at in North Sydney. North Sydney is going to look as bad as St. John, NB soon, very sad!

Promises of jobs never materialize in these situations and the green space will be gone.

This is a terrible idea, to destroy a much-used green space (one of very few) on the chance that it *might* result in some jobs. There are not even any guarantees here! If more effort were put into utilizing the buildings that are there, it could also result in some jobs. At a time when Marine Atlantic is set to deliver more traffic to the downtown, it is criminal to think of destroying this area.

Huge mistake if industry is put there. The view and the businesses there are part of the charm (if not the only charm) of downtown North Sydney. Industry will pollute the air & water in particular. Why not locate the industry in the Industrial park?

It's getting tiresome watching everything disappear. Time to take a stand up and take part in saving our communities and their amenities!

This is a beautiful spot which the CBRM should take pride in. Develop it so that appeals to tourists and locals alike. Any other place- this would be a spectacular area to visit and enjoy. It's waterfront!! It's not an industrial area.

All of our money, tax and otherwise, is going to Sydney. North Sydney will son be like Sydney Mines. Not a store on the Main Street to buy a pair of shoes or article of clothing. Shame on us for allowing it to happen!
