This is the only redeeming feature of the down town area. I thought this was a joke. No one would destroy this area for a ship yard. We have to stand up for our town, we lost Munroe Park, you can not get to Indian Beach without waiting for an escort. Where are all the jobs in the Industrial park?

The slow dissolve and tragedy of downtown North Sydney has been actively and aggresively playing out over the past 30 years. A vibrant downtown core was replaced by a lackluster mall on the dump grounds, historic buildings reduced to single story plastic clad buildings. The deterioration that has occured at the hands of civic leaders can only be classed as an abasmyl performance. And lets face it the unification of all towns into a regional municipality was to bail out Sydney's debt load. I think North Sydney deserves better. Leave teh wharf property alone, it is one of the few redeeming features left from the scavaging and destrucftion of teh downtown core.

This is the only green space we have in town, its a shame that the CBRM are planning to sell it. It is a beautiful spot for tourists to visit and for locals to take their children. For ppl to go have a nice meal at the Waterside or a cold treat at the Chill Zone. We have to fight this and do whatever we can to keep Archibald's Wharf. We don't need it to be industrialized .. leave it alone.

Absolutely not a fair trade. There is underused water frontage all along Commercial Street, Queen Street, Purves St and Shore Rd. Sell something else. It is a desperate move to sell this space for the promise of 50+ jobs. Promises like this are often not kept and once the space is lost, we cannot go back.

I have used this play area every day for the last two summers, My grandson asks to go every day. I feel our Archibald's Wharf should not be removed; it took so many years to get this green area up and going, it should not be thrown away. There must be another area like the Industrial Park where this company could take up a business.

There is enough room to build on the far side of the wharf to the ballast grounds or on the Rollie's former property. There are vey few reasons why we take once green space we have in this town for the sake of a business that could be constructed in many near by areas.

Archibalds Wharf is truly the only community greenspace in North Sydney. It cannot be lost to development.
