My wife & I moved back to North Sydney in 2011, after 40 tears in Ontario & purchased a house in town. We voted for our current Mayor & Councillor. Big mistake. All that I have seen is the not caring for the residents of North Sydney. You've taken away from the Indian Beach & put 2 viewing tables there, which are a joke. The streets are in sad shape, our new street sweeper taken to Sydney in past year & replaced by Sydney's ailing sweeper. We have our sons's & their family, plus other family & friends visit. We spent alo of time at Archibsld's Wharf. Tourist are always there in the good months & support local merchants. Don't give the answer, we have the beach. The beach itself has very littke sand left & nothing worthwhile seeing or even a bench, which by the way was also taken away. You are doing this behind our backs & our local business. This probably will not change your minds but next election I hope you don't expect that you will get great support, you will get little or none, because residents will remember, what you did against them & the destruction of our wharf.

Don't further destroy the downtown area by selling this property.

They didn't do much at the old sight, where are the jobs now,we need Archabald wharf as a green area and a place for enterentainment in summer and just a p-lace to go and enjoy a nice meal or just an ice cream in peace and quiet,we don't need a ship yard, the real purpose we will never know and don't want to,my answer is NO.

As a single mother to a three year old, as well as a teacher, I am disheartened to hear about this possibility. During spring, summer and fall seasons Archibald's wharf is a hub of activity. Many northsiders spend a great deal of time there, myself included. I frequently run into students there as well and at a time when childhood obesity rates are unacceptably high, I find it encouraging to see children making great use of the playground equipment. As well, friends from other areas who come to spend some time down there with me all comment on what a great spot it is. As a gathering place for various concerts and festivals or a place to spend a nice evening watching the boats, enjoying an ice cream or beer on the deck of the restaurant (which is an excellent restaurant, by the way,

P;ease do not take Archibalds Wharf away from our town,we need this place .WE finally have a place for tourists to go and for our town people to gather. As an older resident of North Sydney this was a nice place to come to ,just to watch the Ferrys or just sit and watch people coming and going . DO NOT LET THIS PLACE BE TAKEN OVER BY A BUSINESS,KEEP OUR ARCHIBALDS WHARF.
