Vital for Alderney.
The numbers being quoted as losses on the Alderney routes are entirely attributable to the negligent inefficiency of the Darby management. Wake up to this please Guernsey States.

To cut this route would harm not only tourism further than already has happened. It would also hugely negatively impact on residents and their families, including the education and future of their children. It is vital to save this route.

It's important that travel links are as accessible as possible for trade and tourism, especially for islands like Alderney.

I would be truly lost without this direct flight - a weekend to the UK to see family ends up being 2 days longer having to travel through Gsy. Both of which days are spent sitting at airports

We need this for our businesses and people who have family’s here and in England, too expensive going via Guernsey. And if you are having to travel to Southampton for a medical the last thing you need is having to go via Guernsey route to get there.THIS WILL FOR SURE KILL ALDERNEY

Without this route we would not have direct access to the mainland which we, who live on the island, consider a necessity.

Our lives on Alderney have been reliant on this connection with the mainland for many years. People have made life choices based upon its reliability. My business depends upon the efficiency of this connection. Having to take two flights to reach Alderney is totally off-putting to folk nervous of flying. Please retain the Southampton route.

Alison Wilby's comment sums up perfectly the reason for keeping the Southampton/alderney link going.
