This was one of the original routes of the company, from which it made itself viable. To abandon it now would be a clear indication of the failure of the present management.

This rout is my lifeline. For medical & to see my family. Sitting round in Guernsey for connections is a nightmare.

Alderney needs a direct link with Southampton. As a small island, it struggles enough with people being unable to afford family holidays to the island with high flight prices, let alone raising these even higher by making visitors fly via Guernsey and the increase in fares because of this.

The fact that Aurigny operated such an excellent service on several routes, in and out of Alderney, for so long only serves to emphasise how appalling the current management of the airline has become. To make Alderney bear the brunt of their actions by cutting the UK lifeline route is dispicable.

We must have a direct link to the UK. My son is at school in Uk and this route is the most practical. To have one gateway into Alderney from Guernsey will be the death of our island.

My family and elderly parents will not be able to fly via Guernsey so will not be able to fly to Alderney any more .
We have been flying this route with Aurigny now for near,y 50 years sometimes 2 or 3 times a year.
Very sad

Why do the people of Alderney have to suffer because of the ineptitude of the management of Aurigny.It is crucial that the Alderney /Southampton route be kept for the HEALTH,WEALTH and HAPPINESS of the folk,their families and visitors to the beautiful island of Alderney.PLEASE. (Sir Dereck Bailey must be having a fit!!!)

I think to cut this service would be detrimental to life, commerce and future development of the Island. From recruitment of teachers to getting regular off island visits back to the main land for children with disabilities or persons with medical needs would be a disaster. This smacks of a cost cutting exercise. We are an important community as part of the Bailiwick and our GDP / taxes count - DO NOT CUT US ADRIFT! The benefits Alderney bring to the wider Channel Islands should be recognised - WE MATTER.

Hands off! We need this vital link. If the Island is to continue to thrive and go from strength to strength we need this vital link to the UK without the transfer and delay of Guernsey in the midst - transiting through Guernsey is problematic, time delayed and unhelpful at the very least. Alderney NEEDS the keep this vital link with the UK mainland as a one-stop shop. Ignoring the huge expense why would you want to cut this route? Profits? We should not be marginalised or cut adrift! A fundamental service for the future of the Island. If it makes the loses Guernsey/Aurigny say then open the books to independent scrutiny and prove it.
