Petition to Retain the Southampton/Alderney Air Link

I have family living on Alderney and this link is vital for me to see them and for them to come to mainland . You have to keep it please !!

An essential link for Alderney's economic future.

Direct flights to SOUTHAMPTON are a must living here!!! Only 30mins! Where as if we had to go Guernsey then SOUTHAMPTON will take so much longer!! Think would put off a lot of holiday makers coming here !!! Please don’t let us lose this!!!

This route is a lifeline link for keeping Alderney a viable tourist destination for so many from the UK, not to mention the medical links to the UK and the ability to travel onto other destinations without having to come via Guernsey and have ridiculous waiting times between flights.

We really need a direct service to the mainland with good onward transport links for hospital visits etc

Good air links with the mainland is clearly essential for Alderney to thrive as a commercial and tourist destination.

Alderney residents and visitors need this route to remain a designated lifeline route. If it loses its lifeline status, the next step is that Guernsey will probably talk about axing it completely, and that would be a disaster for Alderney's people and its economy. Vital for the islands especially Alderney

This has been a critical component of Alderney's viability as a home and holiday destination since the 50s. Current problems are a result of mismanagement of the route by Aurigny not the need for or viability the route itself.

This route is vital for Alderney, it's economy and for those of us that have links with the island. Alderney should not be sacrificed to make up for Aurigny's poor business management in other areas

This would be just another nail in the coffin for Alderney a very bad think if it comes to pass!

This is our life line, direct route to our families in UK.

Critical to keep this connection

This route has been commercially viable since soon after WWII, dring which time the economy has been constructed around it, and it must remain so into the future.

I have never felt so strongly about a decision that the island faces. Southampton is our lifeline. Not Guernsey. It will certainly change how the feel about living here, if this route is cut.
