This simply cannot happen. A list of reasons to long to write. Medical reasons top priority!!! This island needs direct route to the uk. It's our life line. Our summer season is far too important, this could really affect it. Holiday makers will surely find it a hassle to get here. Alderney is unique, people come here year after year from the uk. We are struggling enough with poor flights, this just cannot happen.

The Southampton / Alderney link MUST BE retained

This is a no brainer. Alderney needs its air links to the U.K. Mainland without having to go via Guernsey. Alderney is not second class to Guernsey and therefore it's residents need to be able to get to where they need to go efficiently/ effectively without the sometimes ridiculous wait time via Guernsey.

I ALWAYS use this route when traveling to England have only gone to East Midlands a few times and it’s a nightmare with 2 disabled children. I also use this route when I take my son to hospital (St Thomas’) in London. We fly straight to Southampton, train it straight to Waterloo and we are there. Going via Gatwick or city will be a nightmare.

Losing this direct route to the UK will kill Alderneys economy, especially tourists who want a reasonably priced direct transport link to the Island. We also have many friends and family from the UK that use this link . its loss will surely be another nail in the coffin for Alderney.
