Petition to Retain the Southampton/Alderney Air Link

We need to keep this link to Southampton not only for visitors but for our Medical residents who need vital treatment in Southampton. Why is it always Alderney that suffers. Give us a break.

This is a vital link for residents and tourists alike

This route is literally a lifeline. Derrick Bailey would be turning in his grave if he witnessed how distant Aurigny has strayed from his vision.

My daughter has medical every year in Southampton I don’t fancy it taking a day to get there having to go via somewhere else

This would be a massive distaster and Hugh disappointment if this was to be axed. I am planned to bring clients to the island for business coaching retreats, this will not be possible if this service is discontinued.

Eliminating this service would be devastating for islanders and visitors alike. I have travelled this route 100s of times in my life as have 100s of people I know. It is the only direct link via air from Alderney to the mainland and a vital route to so many.

Cannot believe they can even think about getting rid of this valuable route to Alderney

I am looking forward to visiting Alderney next spring and I really want to fly direct from Southampton, not gatwick to Guernsey and then on!

Aurigny & the Guernsey states members are ruining the economies of both Islands.

Aurigny was purchased by the tax payers of Guernsey and Alderney to provide life line air travel links for the tax payer. Alderney has two direct links, both life line links, Guernsey and Southampton. How many direct air links does Guernsey have? how many are life line links? and how many are profitable or indeed are any of Guernseys links turning a profit? Why is Alderney sacrificed and not one of the many other loss making routes.

absolutely essential route for Alderney. I have a son and grandson here. The thought of no service to visit them is a nightmare.

Please, please keep this route. States of Alderney, do what you were elected to do and save our Island. Decision makers, please consider the Alderney residents during your deliberations. As residents of the Bailiwick of Guernsey, we are stakeholders in Aurigny and therefore have a right to a service that takes into account all residents of both Islands
