Petition to Retain the Southampton/Alderney Air Link

Closing this rote is the equivalent of Guernsey closing The Gatwick route and they wouldn’t even think of that.

Alderney needs to keep this link with the world open..

We visit family closing this route would make visiting very difficult

UK. My mum lives on Alderney & this is a vital Air Link with the rest of the world!

This is Literally a LIFELine route! Earliest example I can share is my twin brother’s LIFE saving emergency medical treatment in Southampton General Hospital after a near-fatal fall in Alderney in the 1980s. Thanks to the direct route to Southampton Airport, Aurigny ground staff and the island’s medical staff, my twin brother was able to receive in Southampton General the timely medical treatment needed to survive his life threatening injuries. Astonished the abandonment of such an important LIFELine link for residents in (and visitors to) Alderney is even being considered... In addition, a direct travel route between Alderney and the UK is an economic artery that must not be severed.

Brother lives on Alderney vital link for extended family and friends. How else do we get there? Tourism vital to Alderney, nit everyone wants to go to the bigger islands!

Would absolutely destroy the island!

This route is our lifeline to our loved ones on Alderney.

We live in Ireland, my wife is from Alderney, we struggle to get the family there each year as it is since Blue Islands left and to see any cuts to Aurigny's roster to Alderney would make things very difficult for us to come and spend time and money on Alderney.

This route can't be stopped. The island and its people need it.It is vital to us in so very many ways.health,business, visiting relatives in the U.K. A stepping stone to the rest of the world...this route is also vital to visitors who come here for whatever reason.business ,tourism ,home buying ,to spend time with their families who live here.we have so much on this island to experience..let the people come and they will keep coming.

Why on earth would this link be removed ? People and myself included use this all the time . It is the link to the main land . Alderney also needs this for tourism.

Cannot imagine living on Alderney without this link. Have family in wales and London. To travel via Guernsey every time we need to visit the UK with two children would be an absolute nightmare. Unthinkable.
