This is an essential route for me as I've recently taken up a nursing post in Alderney I travel onwards to Dublin or Belfast . I may have to consider leaving the island if this route is noblinger available as the costs and long stop overseas will not be convenient for me in the long term

I looking to transfer my consultancy business to Alderney. The lose of a direct route to the UK will kill that idea off completely.

I have been using this route for years. It's direct and you don't have to spend hours in the dreadful Guernsey airport waiting for a connection

I am a mother of 2 autistic children. The stress of traveling and going though security is a living hell. We dread it! The thought of having to go via Guernsey to go to the uk fills us with dread. They connecting flights are always hours of waiting. Guernsey is a horrible airport to be stuck at for 3+ hours. There is nothing there to entertain the children and we always have problems with security as we travel with medical equipment. One of my children has actually gone though security and then ran around the airport while I was still waiting in security. We travel to the Evelina children’s hospital a lot and we can just get the train from Southampton straight into Waterloo. I can get there quicker than traveling to London via Guernsey and with less stress!!!

Its an important route for all the islanders as keeps the local economy ticking over. I use it for the angling festival and spend well over £500 while i am there which obviously without the air route would not be viable for me to enter each year

Although neither a resident nor a visitor, I can see the need for those who are for the service to be retained.

How on earth will islanders get medical; treatment over and above what is available in the Islands if the service is withdrawn?

Loosing this air link would probably mean that our visit last October to see family and friends could be our last. A poor decision for the island if it happens.

Without this route business and tourism will suffer and will leave islanders with poor prospects.
