Restrictions are reasonable in order to preserve the integrity of the shoreline. Wave surfing should be allowed in certain areas of the lake but not totally banned.

My dock and shoreline are constantly in jeopardy as the area I live in has a high activity level of surf boats. They have no regard to how far those waves travel or that they are putting our docks and boats in peril!

Boat traffic is ruining our experience on the lake with small children wanting to swim and all of us wanting to kayak and fish. We have property in Big Clifty Shores. The cove is dangerous now because of the wave surfing and careless boating. Boats are coming 50 to 100 feet from shorelines and docks.

We have a duty to keep Beaver Lake safe for all--including non-motorized boaters, and this petition provides excellent recommendations that the Corps should strongly consider. Like all things good, it's a balance, and these recommendations provide that.

I love to ski, swim, and fish, and can only imagine how fun it is to surf a wave in a lake. That being said, for other lake users, the surf boats are completely obnoxious. They make huge waves that make swimming dangerous, and fishing impossible. I have had multiple occasions where I go to swim with my children in a quiet cove, and the surf boats drive around for hours in the cove, making swimming completely dangerous for my children and myself a like. When surf boats are in the cove, it's unusable to other people.

We strongly agree even though we are on a more open part of the lake. Much more erosion on the shore line and dock damage

I co-own a dock on Beaver Lake In Big Clifty Shores Unit 1. There have been numerous times this summer when children in the water by the dock were pummeled by waves created by boats and traffic in the cove. Our neighbor has been attempting to establish a no wake zone for our channel. Even two large boats in the cove at the same can create large waves that toss people and the pontoon in a slip to rock dangerously. Please take this petition seriously, Safety on the lake overpowers the need for wake surfing to occur in the channels where dicks line both sides.

I am a landowner in Clifty Shores. Unit Two. I strongly agree with this petition and I would like to add that these boats are a serious danger to swimmers. They roar into our cove and do not slow down. Often they come well within 100 feet of our dock. Recently we had a scare and had to rescue our young granddaughters who were swimming and being bashed against the dock. This is a serious situation! We have also experienced that our boat cleats have been shaken loose by the waves. Let’s share the lake in a safe way. These boats are NOT safe.
Agree. Thanks Steve.
