They need to keep out of van-hallo we can’t even ski on the ski cove because they are putting out such large waves.

This isn’t right. People shouldn’t be able to destroy other people’s property just because they feel like it. Plenty of other ways to use the lake that don’t harm other people.

This type of activity is causing great harm to our dock and our boats. It’s has eroded our shoreline and has caused us to spend excessive amounts of money to preserve our property. Trees are dying along the short line causing potential for both further damage to our dock and the potential to cause personal injury or death should they fall on the dock or on anyone in the water or in the dock.

I am signing this petition while I am sitting on my dock waiting for the dock repair man to come give me an estimate to fix our broken boat lift that was broken by wave surfing.

Overdue

I'm currently having the major bolts on one of my lifts replaced due to this type of activity. It would help as well if enforcement of the minimum 100 ft no wake law was being followed!

I live in Avoca Hollow, directly across from Prairie Creek Marina. The shoreline at my dock has receded almost 6 feet in the past 5 years , versus hardly at all in the previous 25 years I have lived here. Have spent over $2,000 in the last year repairing my dock from wave damage and currently have 6 trees that have fallen beside my dock due to the erosion. It’s really gotten out of hand. COE, please do something.

The waves are dangerous. The front of my boat almost went under a dock that came up 3 1/2' to 4' high.

I totally agree. Have lived on Beaver since 1984. When I built my dock, the brass monument for COE property corner was level with the ground and my first shore anchors were in concrete level with the ground. They are now stick out of the ground 18" and I believe most of the erosion occurred within the past 5 to 6 years. Now some of the trees on my property have fallen into the lake due to erosion. Erosion highly accelerated by wake boarding or wave surfing.

Agree, the restrictions should apply to whatever the lake level is not just 1126 and above.

The damage to my dock and boats is costly and unacceptable by allowing this practice to continue anywhere other than the main channel. I would also be happy if it was banned completely at Beaver Lake. The boats creating the wakes are running in the most inefficient manner possible and therefore also polluting the lake more than any other form of boating.

Agree that it should not be banned, just controlled.

Our dock is subject to the battery of these huge waves frequently. It has cost us money as well in repair. Also unsafe when kids on the dock...."hang on" is a frequent statement heard on our dock.

The wave surfing is eroding the shoreline of the Van Hollow Arm.

Erosion at our dock is severe, not to mention how badly the dock rocks when a wave surfer goes by in our area of the lake.
