Thanks. What they are doing is an effort to limit free speech. Anne

This move will contribute to the "them and us" mentality.

Any community newspaper should be a reflection of the entire community it serves, not the reflection of one political interest group. This is an extremely dangerous precedent set by the BOCC .

How ridiculous. Westcliffe is starting to look and act like Silvercliffe, which should be ashamed. The place looks creepy due to the attitudes of the residents. You're going to lose tourists soon. I refuse to read the Sentinel as I was disgusted with the first couple of issues. Who paid off whom?

Without input to and from the community of Westclffe, I believe changing where this amount of revenue is spent is wrong. Needs to be corrected. money

I don't want my tax money supporting a political organization. The Sentinel's mission is political as was obvious during the recent election when their yard was filled with campaign signs. The Sentinel's mission is to generate propaganda, not be a service to all the citizens of Custer County.

Keep Legal Notices with the Tribune

This was a big error on the part of the Custer County Board of Commisioners. The West Mountain Tribune is our community, the entire community, newspaper.

As a temporarily absent homeowner in the WMV, I need to keep up on the public notices and feel they should be in the paper with most readers, which is the Trib.

I am disturbed by the reasoning offered by the Commissioners that the move was done to support local small business. The Wet Mountain Tribune has a fully paid staff while the Sentinel is mostly a volunteer outfit.

I am outraged at this decision.

Please go back to the Tribune. Thanks

Legal descriptions should be available to the largest constituency. The decision by the two County Commissioners who voted to only place these legal descriptions in the Sentinel did not choose to do so with the best interests of the entire population of Custer County at heart.

This is a blatantly political move and I, as a citizen of Custer County, resent my tax monies being spent this way. County commissioners, you should be ashamed of yourselves. Your responsibility is to ALL residents of Custer County, not just the Tea Party and its screed.

the Wet Mountain Tribune has triple the circulation of The Sentinal. I would also like to see ooen records of circulation and funding for both papers.
