Raaki.com and we the undersigned humbly request that the Independence Stadium in Bakau be renamed after one of the greatest sportsmen to have ever come out of Gambia,  Alhaji  Momodou Njie, commonly known as Biri. Biri’s service to the Gambian nation in terms of his contribution to Gambian football is legendary and it is our conviction that the least the Gambian nation can do is to honour him whilst he is alive. As such, we are convinced that one of the best ways to do this is to rename the Independence Stadium after him. We therefore humbly request you to grant us this request.
