Jamie McHenry, a passionate lacrosse player for the Centennial Junior Knights lacrosse team, was hit and killed by a car over Spring Break 2013. The Jamie McHenry Memorial Foundation was formed to honor his love for the game of lacrosse by raising funds to give back to our local youth sports community. Jamie was known for the velocity of his shot on goal and was nicknamed “The RocketShot” by his coaches and teammates. I just saw the count hit one hundred and honestly my hands are shaking a bit because that is a lot of people remembering Jamie at once. It feels surreal to see so many names attached to this idea of RocketShot Field even if I should probably be sleeping instead of staring at my laptop screen right now.

Jamie was my friend and i’m close with the family i think y’all should change the name for the family and his friends because he was always playing lacrosse on that very field so please change the name!
My son and Jamie were classmates. This would be an awesome way of remembering Jamie.
This would be a great way to honor the memory of a Johns Creek young man who was taken way too early.
I miss #8 and support the McHenry family and all they do for the community in honor of their son.
Excellent tribute, to a player, and family that has so much for the lacrosse community in that area ( and all of Georgia)

What a great legacy this would be for my nephew who loved loved loved lacrosse. #LiveForJamie
