Petition to remove bike lanes from arterial streets…enough of the insanity!

Pls remove these disastrous bike lanes. They are destroying our city.

These bikenanes are ridiculous and have crippled this city. The mayor's should be shot for advancing them.

Drive on the street where these bike lanes have popped up and count the number of bikes you see. You would be lucky to find a handful of bikes during the day. In our colder months, that number goes down to ZERO. This is an insane idea to appease a very small percentage of the population and causes a huge inconvenience to the people going to work and all the businesses that lose on regular traffic. Premier Ford, please bring the Common Sense back!! Thank you.

Bike lanes causes more traffic congeation when their installation involve removal of a lane for motorised vehicles. Please stop adding more bike lanes and remove them all from busy main roads.

Remove bike lanes asap

Turning right or left off Yonge or Avenue or going through an intersection on St. Clair or Davenport is scary. As you monitor for pedestrians crossing an intersection in front of you, motorbikes and motorized skateboards zoom up so fast from behind, going through red light, making you slam the brakes, just when you get going. Shouldn’t restaurants be delivering food in licensed vehicles in the car lanes? I drive to Etobicoke 3x a week to care for my 95 year old mother otherwise I wouldnt get in car.

Stop this Provincial overreach to blame cycle lanes for City of Toronto vehicle congestion and recognize that the decades long neglect of Public Transit, the promotion of car pooling and the refusal to introduce of road tolls are the REAL cause of congestion on city roadways.

Bike lanes are not utilized. Bikers are rash, careless and entitled, weather patterns wind, rain, snow, cold force us to use cars or public transit not bikes, bike lanes not to be permitted in front of resident driveways, or beside pedestrian sidewalks due to danger from speeding bikers causing injury/death, bike lanes on roads cause gridlock and transit delays. Bike lanes should be allowed only in "contained bike lanes pathways" inside parks and open spaces for biking exercise and family fun.

Keep bike lanes of major streets Traffic congestion hurts businesses in the downtown core. Bike lanes require maintenance ,money the city doesn't have , or the staff .

The bike lane on Adelaide Street is killing the the small businesses, no parking for vendors to deliver the goods and for short-term customers to shop at the stores located on the Adelaide Street

Traffic is horrendous and costing the economy.

Remove bike lanes asap

No more bike, scooter and other vehicles of this type lanes. Stop the traffic

Remove all bike lanes from Bloor Street and other major areas and move them to side streets and set up a net work that way. Let bring back Economic Stability to toronto. Let's have people wanting to come into Toronto and spending money here and having a good time before they go back to their homes.Wherever that may be in ontario or in canada or from around the world.

Bike lanes are bad because: They cause more pollution because cars sit idling spewing exhaust into the air because the live lanes are reduced and traffic is gridlocked. Therefore, it's bad for business when people can't get to their jobs due to gridlock. In Toronto, 50% of the year (Nov to April) it is either dark, cold, snowy or rainy, so bikes should be ridden 50% of the year. Toronto is hilly, not flat like Holland where it easy to ride bikes.

I rode my bike for many years and was able TO USE SIDE/RESIDENTIAL STREETS TO GET TO WHERE I WAS GOING. We DO NOT need designated Bike Lanes ANYWHERE. Side streets with a very short venture on busy streets (e.g. Yonge) will get you to where you need to go. Toronto is not Amsterdam -- Toronto was NEVER meant to have bike lanes. This is for the "Snowflakes" and spoiled lazy brats -- not for the general public. University was once the most beautiful street in Toronto -- not it is a mess!!!!! Action must be taken now -- emergency vehicles cannot operate quickly nor safely.

Yes we had gridlock before them, but funnelling ever more vehicles on fewer lanes does nothing but make it worse. The province is losing billions due to increased congestion. A pity that Toronto city councillors cannot figure this out.

Toronto is dysfunctional and navigating this city is chaotic. Rational, common sense is needed to keep goods and services moving. STOP the crusade against vehicles and get this city functioning again.
