Petition to remove bike lanes from arterial streets…enough of the insanity!

Remove the bike lanes on major roads like Yonge Street, Bloor Street and Avenue Roda.

The bike lanes have created traffic chaos especially during rush hour. And for what? There is a subway along Bloor St. A bike path along the Martin Goodman Trail. How many bikers will there be in the winter when it snows?

I support NO vehicular lane reductions on roadways to make space for bicycle lanes.

Adding bike lanes impedes automobile traffic which is more important to the city. Often sufficient care in their to economize on their design, for example by using boulevards. Some bike lanes have been accompanied by the addition of left turn lanes even in places where a left turn is not possible

Bike lanes ? Yes done intelligently on the correct roads , Danforth Avenue bike lanes are impeding emergency vehicles, remove these bike lanes.

Restore the missing driving lanes! Get rid of the badly implemented bike lanes. Bikes have a place, but it is not on busy arterial roads, and not at the expense of an entire driving lane.

According to the Star the average long-term cyclist has an annual income over $100K...well above average. Catering to the elite?

Bikes on Poplar Plains Rd and Russell Hill Rd; cars only on Avenue Road

There is no data to supporr the bike lanes on Unviersity and Avenue Road. the City's own report is grossly deficient in any data supprting those bike lanes.

Bikes and bike lanes are good to have, but the Toronto city government is overdoing it with way too many of these being installed on Toronto's main streets. I support the removal of some of these and suggest stopping any further implementation of such without improved, inclusive communication and agreement from a wider public. I really disapprove of the expense the municipal government has caused due to this action being necessary. JL

I wholeheartedly support the removal of bike lane curbs as a dangerous addition to the already overcrowded and overburdened major arteries.

Enough of the insanity...more people are driving and more trucks delivering....gridlock is not the answer.

Traffic in the GTA is horrendous. How can anyone support reducing lanes for a handful of people who ride bikes. In winter, very few people are bike riding and the lanes are wasted space.
