The present infrastructure recently built to accommodate bikes, people and cars is disastrous and many accidents and fatal occurrences already happening as a result of these existing bike lanes. Bikes should be rerouted through residential streets parallel to major streets. 4 lanes on major arteries have gone down to two lanes (one in each direction) — to accommodate the bikes and parked cars causing gridlocks, and fatal accidents. Give us back our auto lanes and move bikes to the side streets!

The bike lanes seem to be on every main thoroughfare and primarily used by restaurant delivery services.
Between the restaurants and endless construction of condos encroaching a lane and bike lanes on every street the city is gridlocked.
The transit system is 10 years away from being sufficient it leaves Toronto a laughing stock to the world.
Bike lanes have a place but why on Yonge and Avenue Rd and Bay St., it’s ridiculous?!?!

Bike lanes are Destroying our core transportation which is already suffering . We need MORE automobile lanes now fewer. I add that the commute lanes on our hiways are also ridiculous. Who the hell works at the same place and live on the same street. This is not the Flinstones. These cause MORE TRAFFIC AND MORE EMMISSIONS . What government idiots put all this into play

I'm a retiree who beside High Park & Cyclists have taken it over years ago, using it as a cycledrome! They were a hazard for many years before taking it over completely. The same has happened to our city streets, which have become unsafe. My car IS my mobility - and the bicycle lanes are now used by mini motorcycles travelling at speeds of 30km/hr! ! These are not "cyclists", but "Road Warriors" and they are destroying neighbourhoods and the city. Shame on city council!

Take a look at the bike lane disasters at O’Conner and on the Leaside Bridge. The only conclusion you will be able to come to is that the design was created to endanger cyclists and enrage drivers. It. Makes. No. Sense.

Three people on bikes killed in two months at my corner. They were in the bike lanes. Get rid of them if you value Torontonians’ lives… honestly

I firmly support the provincial government stepping in when it is obvious that the municipal government is misusing taxpayer dollars. A democracy is fundamentally mandated to service the needs of its population….the majority of its population not that of a small niche group. The monies spent on on bike lanes could be utilized to fund a superior transit that would serve the needs of the majority and also ease traffic congestion. I may not fully support the provincial government’s other legislations but I do support it’s proposed legislation to overhaul the municipality’s unscrupulous approach to building bike lanes.
