Petition to Reinstate Robin Powers’ Classes at LillStreet

David - do the right thing. Keep the classes over summer.

Robin is an excellent artist and an asset to Lillstreet. Please reinstate her so that she may continue to guide and inspire students.

Please reinstate Robin! She brings joy to all around her and allows her students to engage in art the way they see it.

Excellent teacher and a fantastic person.

Robin is an amazingly talented artist and a fantastic teacher. Please retain her.

Robin Powers is one of the most talented sculptors I know. For many years she has dedicated to sharing her talents with others.

I sincerely hope Robin is reinstated! Her classes offer a fun, relaxing opportunity to engage in art, and they bring joy to students and fans! This is a major disappointment. Fortunately it can (and should) be easily corrected: Reinstate Robin!

Reinstate Robin! Her classes bring joy not only to her students but the people that interact with their work!

Robin's classes provide students an opportunity to truly express themselves in ways that are meaningful to them. Those students go on to share their work with the world. I have been lucky to know a student of Robin whose clay work brings joy and comfort to many in the Chicago community. It is important to reinstate Robin so she may continue sharing her craft and contributing to the well-being of her community.

It would be a great loss to Lillstreet to not have Robin’s classes.

Reinstate Robin! I enjoy the work of her students-- they bring me great joy! A spam folder inconvenience should not merit the termination of her position.

I couldn’t agree with this petition more. I have missed Robin’s special teaching talent since she left her Sunday morning class, and many students I talk to agree. I learned so much with Robin in 15 weeks, and I was looking forward to studying figure sculpture with her for months and years to come. Robin truly has a gift for seeing the figure and for teaching how to see. I haven’t experienced her level of insight in a figure class since she left. I know this petition refers to her Tuesday class, but I’d like to put out a call for her to return to Sunday morning! Thanks!

Robin has Methods of teaching that break down figure sculpture into bite size pieces that all can accomplish. I hope a resolution Can be found .

I am a long time Lill Street student. Robin has always been so helpful to me with questions about hand building and glazing and general questions even though I have never taken a class with her. She exemplifies what Lill Street is all about and I would miss her very much.

Robin is a tremendous asset to your organization and it be a shame to lose her. She is an incredibly talented and giving teacher.

Robin has been my teacher on and off since she first joined the teaching staff at Lillstreet. She has been an incredible teacher and good friend. If all the parties used a bit of creative problem solving, maybe this could be resolved to everyone's satisfaction.

I value Lillstreet as a generous creative space. It's set up to support ceramic students with access to studio time, vats of gorgeous glazes, and frequent kiln firings. Within this environment, we are all inspired by each other. Robin Power embodies the best of Lillstreet. She's able to teach students of all levels. She balances structure and freedom. She cares deeply for her students. This is not just a job for her. This is who she is. Her own sculptural work is breathtaking and ever developing. We watch her themes and methods evolve and we benefit from her continual growth. Anyone should be proud to to associated with such an accomplished artist. Her classes are my sanctuary. It is not an exaggeration to say that losing her will leave a hole in my life. Please consider the big picture. Think about Lillstreet's goals and values. Fix this.

Robin is a hardworking dedicated talented teacher. Who genuinely care about all her students. Her class is what literally saved me and helped pull me through my initial depression after my stroke. Robin and her class is what keeps me going still. Her willingness to allow me to continue to participate in her class has made a big difference in my life as I continue with the struggle of trying to recover. I will forever be grateful to her for her kindness and knowledge. She is an inspiration to many. It would be a terrible terrible loss to lose her.

I love Robin"s class. She is one of the best sculpture teachers I have had. Please make sure her class continues.
