As a resident of Torrance, the increase in frequency and noise level of flights is creating a public nuisance. Not only is the noise level injurious to one's hearing but also makes it difficult to work in our home which has double glazed windows. The student pilots’ touch-and-go flights over our area are the most flagrant offenders because of repetitive loud noise caused by the constant circling around the same sections of south Torrance.
The city should address this issue through monitoring noise levels and setting reasonable standards, setting fines and increased user fees, and restricting the number of training flights. We are simply asking for reasonable standards and adherence
just like any other business would be expected to comply with in order to promote a safe and environmentally friendly community.

As a resident of Torrance I've noticed an increased frequency of training flights that keep circling over and over again 'as loop flights' and are creating a level of noise pollution that is becoming very annoying for many residents.

The quality of life is deteriorating due to the increase of air traffic and noise. I live under the takeoff flight route. I can see the planes belly. My cats even are frightened and many times run for cover.

There are quiet planes and noisy planes. Ban the noisy ones or have them use quiet mufflers.
Noisy restored war planes that fly periodically don’t bother me.

as time goes on it seems to have more traffic
i have been in this location almost 20 years
even my kittens look up and get scared when those noisy planes go over

As a resident of Torrance, the increase in frequency and volume of flights has completely ruined my family’s ability to live and work in our home. The student pilots’ touch-and-go flights over our area are the worst offenders because of repetitive loud noise; but all the early-left flights are just as disruptive on a volume level. In addition, to ruining the peaceful enjoyment of my home, this is severely hurting my property value and we have concerns about our safety and health from planes flying so close. Since these conditions did not exist previously, it proves the City can revert back to previous airport operations and allow its residents to enjoy their homes again. City of Torrance, please protect the rights of your citizens!

The recent increase in aircraft noise from use of the Southern Pattern from Zamperini field is impacting my property value and quality of life. It was not disclosed to me when I bought my house 20 years ago that I would be living in a live flight pattern used for training touch and goes. This is causing me, my family, and my neighbors continued mental distress.

Planes bank and accelerate their engines to gain altitude immediately after takeoff. They don’t cross Hawthorne Blvd first to climb.

When is the City going to protect the quality of life of its residents? The frequency of flights has grown to astronomical levels (look at your own numbers). The noise has become intolerable and action needs to be made to limit the operations or shut down the airport completely. The current actions (outreach and noise abatement) are clearly not working.

Need Landing fee, no touch and go, no flight schools, enforcement of the Airport Municipal Code, close city public airport reopen new city private airport or close the airport down completely and make a park for the people to enjoy.
