To the Administration of Greyville Primary School,
We, the undersigned parents and guardians of students at Greyville Primary School, respectfully request that the administration reconsider the decision to eliminate the second break time, which was in place prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Our children have expressed concerns about the length of the school day and the limited opportunities for rest and nourishment. The reinstatement of the second break would provide them with a necessary respite, allowing them to recharge and better engage with their studies.
We believe that the additional break is crucial for the following reasons:
1. **Enhanced Well-being:** A second break offers our children a much-needed pause to relax and rejuvenate, contributing positively to their overall well-being.
2. **Improved Focus:** Regular breaks are essential for maintaining concentration and productivity throughout the day.
3. **Adequate Nutrition:** The current schedule does not provide sufficient time for children to eat their lunches or snacks properly, which can affect their energy levels and performance.

The school administration remains silent on our request despite the daily struggles our children face during this shortened schedule. Please email the principal today to demand that they meet with us to discuss the return of our second break.

The momentum behind this request is proving that the administration cannot ignore our children any longer. Call the main office tomorrow to demand a meeting about this schedule change and text three other parents to do the same.

Kids need a second break to keep their minds Focused . Kids brains are very delicate and needs to be taken care of . Please do not burn our kids out mentally . There will be plenty time for that when they are adults .
Please assist to reinstate the second break because some of our kids leave early part of the morning and get home late from school with transport
I fully agree as the workload in school is a lot, then there's still homework, projects, speeches & extra murals after school... Learners are exhausted.
It's for unfair to have only one break time kids need to have at least 15 min to rest their minds an have something to eat Sometimes my child doesn't even have enough time to finish his lunch an comes home with it while still being very hungry
In grade 6 there's a female teacher who doesn't allow kids to go the bathroom, so second break is needed for such
