Petition to raise standards of safety and security in Stellenbosch

In the last 2 months at Stellenbosch my phone has been stolen and my bicycle, the security at Stellenbosch needs to improve! I came to Stellenbosch in order to focus on my studies I don't want to have to fear walking to class or going for a jog. More action needs to be done as well in regards to catching criminals.

im a student at stellenbosch and thinks that for the amount of money we pay to go here everybody should be safe 24 hours of the day

I agree whole-heartedly. It is extremely important, that the security issues are finally adressed properly!

I feel unsafe when leaving the lab at night. We really need to upgrade security.

After my 5 years of studying in Stellenbosch (this being my 6th), I think I've heard more stories and seen more incidents of crime this year alone than the previous 5 years here. It needs to be put to an end otherwise the University will lose its reputation and future applicants.

As meisie voel ek elke dag meer skrikkerig om alleen op kampus te loop! Ek wil nie eers meer alleen gaan draf nie. Dit raak werklik belaglik!
