Expedia recently bought VRBO (Vacation Rentals by Owner) This was a well run site that allowed owners to list vacation properties direct to the renter. (Similar to AIRBNB) The price of the rental was clearly spelled out along with cleaning fee's, security deposit etc. Owners pay a significant amount to list on the VRBO website. Without telling owners VRBO added a fee to the quote the renter received. The fee is up to 10% of the rental that the renter has to pay for. This has caused cancellations by renters, and owners are leaving VRBO to list elsewhere. They don't like the fee and neither do owners. Owners who don't comply are eventually punished. Please sign this petition to stop Expedia from gouging owners and renters.
