I along with students that I support use the art shop on a regular basis for materials that are required for projects and for preparing for practical sessions and would be sorry to see the art shop close as it is an invaluable asset for the students to have to hand. Also not being from an artistic background the advice I have had from Jo on my visits and alternative options that have been suggested for materials and methods have been invaluable to me.

The Art shop is wonderful they have knowledge of what to use on projects and will help with anyquesions you have this service would not be available else where.

The University Art Shop was a vital resource for me while I was doing BA and MA courses at Staffs Uni. It has continued to be a vital resource for work that is being done in the Special Collections unit of the library. The proposal to close the shop is extremely short-sighted.

Just as Stafford College opn an art shop for students and the community, plus an exhibition space! Surely we could do the same?
Don't close a valuable asset to the University!
