Honestly I thought it was a rumor when I heard about then closing the art shop, but now I've found out I think it's a ridiculous discision to close it

This is ridiculous... Taking away the student art shop will leave the sheer amount of art students and teaching staff studying at this university in without tons of resources that they otherwise could not get their hands on or cannot afford. Not to mention that students from other courses also rely on getting materials from this place! students work will also suffer tremendously if they go through with this. Close this shop down and this university is going to have an awful lot of angry people to answer to.

The support that is being shown for the staffs uni art shop is incredible. With a solid unit of support, hopefully this will help sway the decision of the university to close down the art shop. Keep sharing and signing so that we can show the management just how many people are against this proposal!

The art shop is a valuable resource for all art students and it is a ridiculous idea to shut it. It's always full of people and I go about 3/4 times a week. It needs to be kept open.

The art shop is an invaluable resource, it needs to stay open, I buy all my materials from here as do many people on a wide range of courses... the staff are excellent and give great advice on what we need and help troubleshoot problems. It is way more than just a retail outlet.... We cannot allow this to close..

I don't understand why the university think this is a good idea. Where else are students expected to go? I have no idea what I would have done without the art shop, my work would have really suffered if my only option was to trek to Hanley every time I needed something!
