when i was a first year student this shop was the only place i knew where to get my materials from, it was a god send and without it i probably would have failed my fine art course. The fees are already outragious and now you want to take away the supplies that are needed to help the students get their degree. Its becoming a joke!!

How do can people expect a university to get better, and to make it a place students would love to go to, if you close down all the shops which help students out? Can't get my head around this.

I am a local designer maker and Staffordshire university Alumni, I regularly use the art shop and feel it is an integral part of the art community and very valuable resource for students and local artist alike closing it would be a terrible idea!

not only am I (and the other gaming courses.... And other non-nursing ones, Being moved to stoke, but now the one shop on campus which would be great for my art needs by next year would be gone, great. Thanks, nice one >_>

as a photography postgraduate and continuing student I feel this shop is invaluable, it would cost us so much more money to have photography items posted after ordering online, never mind the convenience of having film, paper, folders etc actually on hand as and when we need them without having to spend more money having to order in bulk. The photography degree is very expensive and this is a selling point when recruiting new students to FACT.

i honestly think this a silly idea. many students depend on it, and their work would suffer if it closed. as a photography student i would be lost without the art shop. for example when i just need one sheet of photographic paper, i would have to buy a box of the one i wanted online. so that would just be a right expensive pain if the shop wasnt there.they have got to save this place!!

need this shop! Especially as a photographer! I still use the art shop even after I have graduated from my course, it is vital that it stays open. Lovely staff and always happy to help! Please don't close it!

Former Student of Staffordshire University. I found the Art Shop extremely useful whilst I studied here, it was a close and affordable place to get the equipment I needed for my course :)
