the shop is an important resource for creative people within this ever corporate society. not only is the best block to learning and creativity but a loss of staff knowledge that helped me on my foundation course. Art is also a resource that helps mental health. Many people in Stoke are trying to promote the arts in an ever dissipated community. May be forging connections with these groups could help both the business and the wider participation gouge arts. Stoke offer to retain this as does academia.

The art shop is absolutely essential. If it wasn't there then my annual university spend would most likely double. If it needs to go then you have to wonder where our £9000 tuition fees are going...

Closing the Staffs Uni art shop is madness. It is a valauable resource for staff and students alike, and is used all the time. Please think again.

Cost cutting at its best ! Students & staff lose out, Management get bigger bonuses for saving money. No doubt the extra work will be offloaded onto other (already busy) members of staff. I guess someone who's probably on 40k+ a year and has no clue what happens with the front line staff as all they do is sit in their cozy office. How about getting rid of some of the managers ? Surely if the Art Shop closes then whichever manager overlooks it should lose their job ? Anybody like a bet on that one ?!!

This is a crucial resource for students for use throughout every semester on every project, It's also one of the major factors in helping our annual art & design degree show a huge success. This proposal put forward by the university is going to cause more damage than good. The art shop is extremely popular and used by all students in multiple faculties. It's also a great USP for the university when recruiting potential students. The university need realise the difference between 'need' and want' for certain resources... there is a definitive NEED for the art shop to help students & their success on their modules. This is a necessity, resources and materials are a fundamental requirement of every course, taking the art shop away is going to be extremely damaging and executive managements worst decision if the proposal goes ahead.

this shop is a vital resource to the students, I can't imagine doing the course without it when I was there.

This shop is a lifeline to all AMD students. To lose this resource will limit the quality of the coursework produced, impacting the grades of Your Students. The only benefit to the closure to will be felt by those counting the profits. Not the Students, Not the Staff, Not AMD and not the university.
