you cannot close the art shop. good value, goof knowledge and always a queue of people waiting for business.

this is a vital resource for students. I practically visited it daily when I was there. and there was always a queue, this shows how much it is needed

I completed my degree in 2013 BA(Homs) Textile surfaces. Without having the art shop at the end of the corridor was an absolute godsend. This was visited daily by me and also everyone on the course. Closing the art shop would effect any student studying an art/design degree dramatically and time would be wasted having to go into Hanley/Newcastle etc for essentials.

Understandable because most managers are "artistically illiterate" . Perhaps they have a good right to think that when all ART is just a worthless pile of bricks at the Tate or a disorganized bed and bedroom. Students have a difficult enough job keeping up with the rent and course fees without losing their source of discounted media and materials

It's well stocked, affordable and conveniently close. The very notion that the hefty fees we pay aren't in some way shape or form covering this seems CRAZY to me.
