I have used the shop since graduating BA hons Fine Art and would be very disappointed if it were to be taken away!! :(

We need this as a school of art. If it needs to become profitable, give us the opportunity art and don't close it half way through the academic year!

As an arts alumni I would be appalled to see such a valuable resource closed down. It was crucial to my successful completion of work while studying. It would cost far more in the long run through a lost unique selling point to prospective students.

shirt sightedness. Close the art shop and courses will follow. Students have little enough money as it is. Yet another nail in the coffin for the arts!

Wow. Why on earth are the Uni even considering this? I'm not on an art degree myself by my Fiancée graduated in Graphic Design last year so I know just how vital an art shop is to students. The university should have learnt the lesson by making hasty decisions without thinking it through. *Cough* Stafford Campus *Cough*

I am appalled and saddened at the proposal of closing the uni art shop. I constantly used the shop throughout my degree years and would have been lost without it, as I am sure many of the students will be, should the closure happen. How can the management justify this action to students who are now paying higher fees? This resource may have been one of a number of reasons why students to come to Staffs. An art department without an art shop… what are they thinking?
