The orchestra should be in the new cultural area that is being developed along the bay front. Any concerns about coastal flooding can be mitigated with good architectural design.

Enough is enough. Downtown residents and taxpayers deserve to enjoy the park as we are seeing less and less of the beautiful greenery in our City. Leave the park alone and let us all enjoy the way it was meant to be by the people who gave it to us. You can bet that they never thought that Sarasota would become the concrete jungle that it is today.

It’s clear this is about prestige and making money rather than preserving a green space that benefits everyone yet does not generate direct tax dollar income for the county.

I have moved recently from Denver CO. It's a city that has grown quickly and I witnessed them make similar mistakes to the one we are currently discussing. For us it was one of the reasons that made it less desirable to live and whmistakesose Sarasota. Please don't make these mistakes as the area grows more popular, cherish the neighborhood as it is. Also, one walk through the park shows you the diversity of thriving wildlife, do we seriously want to be a part of removing that in a time when an environmental crisis is happening...we would be directly a part of humans greatest failure.

Please do not destroy another park, beautiful place where is home for recreation of many kids and tennis players. Where they are offering to put the new tennis courts will have a terrible impact on the ecological life, please do not permit that.

I walk my dog every day around the duck pond that would be paved over for the orchestra. And the last thing we need is another parking garage about 100 yards from an existing one.

Please do not tear apart Payne Park. Why not put the Orchestra over by the new Van Wezel and have a music enclave in Sarasota? It would make more sense! And b less disruptive to so much of the Sarasota population who use Payne Park as it was meant to be used!
